Its been too long…

To everyone, my friends, readers and fellow online venturers: It has been too long! In fact its been ages since I’ve posted to my blog.

Strange to think of the days when I couldn’t let a day pass by without wanting jot a quick post, or a page, but recently its all been about the launch of my new product: My Viral Spiral.

This is the online-business building script which automates your front end, and puts many of the more tedious tasks, like list-building, on autopilot. It gathered acclaim early as the product which achieved $27K in 22 hours with just four JV partners, such was demand for it. It is out on limited release, and at the time of writing this, there are still a few copies left.  And yesterday, I launched the forum for it.
But I’ve been distracted from my blog for it, for which to you, and the blog, I apologize. I think you will find, as I have, that the results are worth the silence.
So – if you want to see what I’ve been up to, and gather a little of what people are saying about it. Drop by the forum and have a peek.

I’ll update you with more news about MVS in the near future.

Thanks for your patience, and a handshake to self with a loud “welcome back!”

Squidoo’s Secrets Revealed

Until recently, Bob Jenkins was known as Bob the Teacher. He is known especially among those in the teaching profession who are aspiring online entrepreneurs.

Now, however, and from here on, Bob Jenkins will be known, and remembered, as the man who exposed Squidoo’s Secrets and brought the full wonder and potential of this marketing site into the spotlight, with squidoossecrets.com

Squidoos Secrets

So what exactly is Squidoo?

Well. The easiest way to descibe Squidoo, is like the place that sits between your personal blog, and Myspace. It is similar to both, yet it is neither.

Squidoo is made up of “lenses”. These are the personal spaces of its members. Members may have as many lenses as they choose and lenses may center around any subject at all, anything.

To give an example, in the top 100, you’ll find lenses on Handbags, Cellphones, Forex Trading, Belly Dancing, Coin Collecting, Dating and Marriage, Japanese Tattoos, and Investing in Real Estate… plus many more.

Basically, you can set up a lens on whatever you like, and get a lot of interest in it really quickly… if you know what you’re doing.

But why would you want to?

To drive more traffic to your site of course. Lenses by themselves are great, and of course Squidoo ranking system favours those lenses which are updated regularly and have plenty of fresh content. But actually, what we’re all trying to do is get people out of squidoo, and over to our own sites.

As many as possible.

So that’s why having a high lens rank is important. The higher the rank, the more people are likely to see the lens – so the more people will visit your site… for free…

And getting a high rank on Squidoo is a lot easier (and less time-consuming) than getting a high rank on Google.

With squidoossecrets.com, Bob has pieced together everything you need to know for getting your slice of action from Squidoo. I’ve had a lens for three months now and the traffic, signups and sales I get from it are a good proportion of the total…

But with over 25,000 lenses on Squidoo, its worth knowing what you’re doing before you set out. To start with, aim at getting your lens into the top 1,000. I.e with a rank of less than 1,000. It won’t take you long if you follow Bobs expert advice…

Here’s to Squidoossecrets.com… and Bob the Squid-Tamer… Thanks for reeling it in!

Juggling Balls…

Heck, its been ages since I’ve posted to my blog!

Infact timbrocklehurst.com isn’t the only thing that has suffered neglect this past fortnight. My customer service has been slow too (sorry everyone) and I have not mailed for as many of my friends and partners in the IM world as I should have either (forgive me guys)…

I confess. I’ve been practicing a method of working which I advise against. Its called multi-tasking. I don’t just mean talking on the phone and writing an email at the same time – thats just plain clever! – no, I mean I’ve been working on more than one project so that I don’t leave my ideas on the shelf too long.

The reason why I advise against it is simple. If you begin a project which will take say 24 hours and you work 8 hours a day, then in 3 days its finished, its out there and its making money.
If you begin 2 projects, one takes 24 hours, the other 32 hours – and you work on them both at the same time – then after 3 days you’ll be halfway through both of them instead of earning from one.

Thats why it is normally better to do one project at a time, and see it through to completion (so its making money) before you start something else.
But, like life, with Internet Marketing its not always easy to follow the rules of practicality.

Yesterday, one of the projects I had been working on, The Freedom List Version II, was completed. Actually its only the prelaunch firesale that is completed, and the new memberships – Platinum and Elite. This project begun early last week with a survey of the members to find out what they felt was missing, and what is most important, and was only completed when I mailed them all last night that the TFL II Prelaunch party has begun.

So it was completed 2 days later than scheduled. Why? because my time was divided while I try and complete a software product I’ve been building at the same time. I should know better. A further reason why multi-project-tasking is a bad idea, is because when you can only devote 50% of your time to something, you only do it 75% as well as you would if you were devoting all your time to it.

I have no conclusive proof of this, but I’m convinced its true…

Anyway, I’m thankful to have TFLII out there, and working. Its exciting when 100% commissions are offered on the front end. The viral-spread is fun to watch. I’ve also used the beta of Mike Filsaime’s Viral Friends Generator script (launching Feb 28) in it. And I’m watching closely how this promising little tool performs…

So now – with one project gone, I can throw myself at the other. (Which needs me 100%)… I’ll try not to leave it so long before my next post. Infact, I can feel it coming already so stay tuned…!

Lucrative List Secrets. Launch Day Announced

I was chatting to my friend Glen Hopkins last night. We met in Baltimore last year and have kept in touch with weekly phone calls ever since. We have a common interest: List Building.

In fact Glen is a #1 best-selling author on the subject. His book, Lucrative List Building, has set new standards. It has been acclaimed for its easiness to follow and its depth of coverage. He has a rare art, Glen, of providing you with mind-blowing strategies for online business building without any hype. His style is modest, clean, and calm. He delivers jaw-dropping effective strategies for list-building with assurance and quiet assertion. It is refreshing to find someone so knowledgable on a subject who is also so modest. Certainly, when building a profitable list, few people know how to do it as effectively as Glen.

Anyway, Glen has been spending pretty much all the time since I met him, compiling a list-building home-study course. Its been fun for me watching it progress, and he’s launching it next week.

It will be available therefore for everyone to learn from and I’ve no doubt his name will become even more famous over the coming weeks and months as a result.

Here’s Glen and I at Mike Filsaime’s TIMME conference in September ’06:

Tim and Glen. Baltimore September 06

His new course is called Lucrative List Secrets and its launching on Tuesday 30th January. Its likely to sell out fast, but Glen has granted special entry to my members at List Mission and The Freedom List. If you’re a member at either, you’ll be hearing from me about it soon.

In the meantime, to keep up-to-date about this vital new course, be sure to signup at Glen’s early-bird notification page:

This is going to be a blinder of a course. Those who are lucky enough to get on it will be unfairly advantaged in the race for a big profitable list… Good luck!

Pipeline Hype

I had a query recently which really got me thinking. And I’d like to share my response with you here…

Dan:

“Is there a reason you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon with all the other guru’s on the Profit Pipeline Co-reg product? The price may sound good for those who have the cash, but for folks like me it can be very tempting to go further into debt. I personally choose not to and will be putting my trust in you to get me where I want to be in terms of building my list.”

Thanks for the query Dan – here’s where I stand:

I haven’t promoted Pipeline-profits simply because despite the pre-launch videos, I just don’t know enough about what it is and why its so great. Anyone who’s been on my list for a while will know (hopefully) that I promote only those products I’ve either tried and tested myself, or for which I know the creator personally and who’s reputation and integrity I endorse.

Pipeline-Profits may be an excellent product, it could be “The Answer” to many Internet Marketing try-hards. Maybe its just me, but it feels like just another hype-fuelled mega-launch, like so many others we’ve seen recently. No matter how good it is, the familiarity of the launch formula de-valued the product to me.

Its becoming a common pattern: -

First comes the impressive free pdfs, or videos in this case, all the time creating curiosity, gathering interest in what the heck its really all about, and gaining signups to a concentrated list. This phase can last for weeks, months in some cases – or just until it feels like everyone has heard of it.

Then comes the pre-launch teasing emails from the JV partners, to get us salivating over what’s to come…

And then, all on the same day (preferably within the same hour) comes the launch emails from the JV partners. “There are only X spots available”, they say, “oh, and buy from my link to get this amazing free bonus…”

It is very effective, as Rich Shefren will testify and Brad Fallon, Andy Jenkins with Stompernet (apparently they achieved 8-figures following their launch!).

But its not all over.

After launch day there are further, equally important, phases in the launch process, and you can expect these from pipeline-profits in the days and weeks ahead.

First of all, a follow up email from the creators themselves to everyone who signed up during pre-launch. This will be backed up by the JV partners and it will give the low-down on how successful launch day was, how it was sold out within hours, or they may say there are a few positions still available, but only if you’re quick…

Then, there might be be another final reminder a day or two later, just making sure everyone knows there are only 7 places left, or perhaps announcing that it WAS sold out and the waiting list is X thousand, but there is a possibility for more places coming available so join the list now…

Then, a closing email will come out, telling us that if we wanted to join the program, we’re too late. The whole shabang is now sold out and we’ll have to wait and see if there’ll be another round of positions made available, but if there is, it’ll probably be at a higher price.. and the waiting list is already X thousand. This email will also probably tell us incidentally how the launch was the most successful of its kind in the whole history of Internet Marketing.

Then nothing.

For about a month, maybe 6 weeks.

Then: – “Hi, its us again, and guess what – due to the success of the program and the excellent progress of those on board… we’re deciding to make a few more positions available for a very limited time on a first-come-first-served basis… ”

Then we loop back to a JV round, a timed relaunch, more bonuses etc… and those who couldn’t afford it before suddenly get a second chance – but only if they’re quick…

Its a system that has worked really well and we’ve got Jeff Walker and his amazing Product Launch Formula to thank for it.

The only trouble is, its becoming too familiar. Like all marketing and advertising models, they work for as long as it takes before their audience believe they’re being manipulated. At that point, they become less effective.

But in the case of Internet Marketing, when there are large volumes of newcomers (and outgoers) every day, so there are fresh eyes and ears to appeal to, this product launch formula may get away with it for a while longer than we think.

The problem is, in my case at least (and please let me know if you feel the same) the familiarity of the formula undermines whatever quality there might be in the product. Instead of thinking “ah, this looks interesting…” I think, “oh – here we go again. Its another one of these.”

So, when it comes to Pipeline-profits, I’m completely ambivalent. I don’t endorse it (because I don’t know it well enough, nor its creators), and I won’t be buying it myself because I’ve already established a method for making a living online. Its the one I teach at The Freedom List and List Mission.

So – if you’re buying (or have bought) pipeline-profits. Please let us know here what its like, and how its going for you…

Thanks and good luck to all

Tim

List Mission: Its all about demand…

Well, the time has come to get real about List Mission.

For 3 months, it has been successfully building lists for its members at a tiny introductory price. But now it must give in to demand and bring itself up into the real world.

List Mission provides the tools, the focus and the comittment to build high-profit, quality lists of targeted prospects and buyers. It caught on quickly as the place to get everything you need to dominate a niche with your own powerful opt-in list.

It invigorated Liz Tomey so much that she said “I finally found something that does everything a list building product should do… I can’t believe the low price you put on it!”

Well – the price is going up… so if you want to catch it while its still available for a snip, pop on over to List Mission right now:

The best thing I ever did… seriously!

As you may know, I was in magazine publishing
before I took up Internet Marketing.

I had my own company and I was accustomed to buying
other magazines, and bringing them into the group.

When placing a bid for a magazine, we took a view
on what we thought it would generate in profit over
5 years, and then we would match it with our bid.

But now, in Internet Marketing, I am surprised by
the speed with which some investments can become
profitable. Do you want to know what my best
investment was in 2006? (And it still works just as
well in 2007!)

It was some Internet Marketing software which I
bought about this time last year.

I had reclaimed my investment on it within just 2
weeks!

And I’m not talking about some tin-pot $50
investment either.

In fact, I went on to make over 3,000% on it
within just 10 months…!

I can honestly say, this was the best purchase I
have EVER made.

For several months I have kept quiet about it -
here’s why…

As an Internet Marketing tool, this software’s
power is awesome. I have not wanted to spread the
secret because it seemed wrong to let-on about
something so powerful without knowing it would fall
into the right hands.

In the wrong hands it could be used to promote
useless (or illegal) goods profitably.

But then again, this investment
isn’t cheep. Its not for everyone. In relative
terms, this is a high-ticket item. There are plenty
of people who have wanted to get their hands on it
but for whom the outlay is just too much.

Today, I can give you some of it to you for free:

If you want to learn just how powerful this
software is, go to this page and signup for the
free download… really, I think
you’ll be amazed.

And by the way…

Have you ever got more than a 3000% return on
your investment in less than a year? If you have,
I’d like to hear about it please:

If not – you need to know about this.

List Mission Comes Top in Bob The Teacher’s Best of 2006!

That’s right! – Bob Jenkins, AKA Bob The
Teacher, has voted Listmission.com as his
best List Building Package in 2006.

And this is BOB the Teacher…
His research comes in second to none!

So to say I’m happy about this is an
understatement. I’m elated!

Here’s what Bob had to say about it:
———————————————
Although this week I’ve showcased free
services in my Best of 2006, I would be
keeping from you an important tool if I
didn’t share one premium service that is a
great set of tools in one place — for under
$20.

The Best List Building Package of 2006 is
List-Mission.com

Tim Brocklehurst has put together an
excellent ebook, email strategy series, and
membership software script (the best part of
the package!) that you can use to build your
list for maximum success.

I interviewed Tim earlier in the year as part
of my Ask the Experts series, and his
strategies are excellent and simple to apply
if you follow his guidance.

For that, he deserves the Best of 2006 Award
for List Building Packages.

———————————————

There are so many great Listbuilding
packages out there. Each of them have taken
their creators weeks and months to assemble.
So for Bob The Teacher, the Master of Free
Advertising and Free Traffic, to set
ListMission.com aside as his ‘Best of 2006′
is gratifying indeed!
I hope, if you’re a member of
ListMission.com, you’ll appreciate Bob’s
praise, and if not… are you building your
list, or do you need to make it your mission?

such an accolade – go here:

Goodbye 2006 – What’s Your Most Pressing Need for 2007?

That was then, this is now.

Ah, the wonder of Internet Marketing. It never ceases to amaze me. I’ve been away for Christmas, in Herefordshire, staying with cousins. Its a five hour journey from Sussex but I love going there. Its even more rural, and there’s even more space, than there is at home and I just love space and clean air to breath.

I used their computer and Internet connection 15 minutes a day to keep up, and I’m pleased to say I don’t think there were any questions left unanswered. Ha! Having said that, there are bound to be – so if I’ve forgotten you, or if you need help with your List Mission, please let me know at my Help Desk.

And while you’re there - even if you didn’t have a query before, let me know if there’s something you’re especially hoping for in 2007. Be specific though, I mean, its no good just telling me you want to earn ten thousand dollars per month. Even if that’s a good goal to have, what will help me to help you, is if you can tell me what’s missing on your path to that goal… Here are some examples:

Time Management

Product Creation

OutSourcing Strategies

Website Development

Sales Copywriting Skills

Motivation

JV Partners (Have you applied yet?)

Listbuilding Skills

Payment Processors

… Please, just take a moment to let me know which of these, and other aspects are missing from your Internet Marketing make-up so I can set about helping you to be more productive in 2007. You can do it either in a comment to this post, or privately at my Help Desk.
