Cloaking an Affiliate URL
If you want to cloak your affiliate URL - here’s how you do it:
Instead of http://www.thefreedomlist2.com/?e=pay@thefreedomlist.com
Your affiliate URL would be:
http://www.thefreedomlist2.com/?e=yourpaypal@address.com
(where yourpaypal@address.com really is your paypal address)
Open the text file below and replace pay@thefreedomlist.com with your real paypal address.
Leave everything else intact.
Then save it to your computer with the filename index.html
Then, upload it to a new folder on your website called TFL2, say.
Now, anyone you direct to http://www.yourwebsite.com/TFL2 will be taken to The Freedom List II and will pay you direct for their purchase.
Hope this helps

This very helpful…and saves time by putting money in my acct directly.
however, I get confused BETWEEN-Then save it to your computer with the filename index.html
AND
redirectscript.txt- _iS THIS LINE UPLOADED but includes the filename index.html? or..?
Then, upload it to a new folder on your website called ….I UNDERSTAND THIS PART.-

Ah Valerie, let me explain…
If you change the name of redirectscript.txt ENTIRELY to index.html, then suddenly, it becomes a browser-ready file. That single redirect line in it will take any browser which points to it straight to your affiliate link.
This is why I had to add it to my blog as a text file, and couldn’t give you the text on its own. Wordpress, rightly or wrongly, would have read the text as html and redirected anyone trying to view this post to the affiliate link…!
I hope this explains it a little better.

This is a guide to creating redirects that shorten your referral links and to help keep thieves from stealing your affiliate commissions. They wind up being tiny webpages that simply act to call up the webpage that you want people to visit. All you have to do is have your referral link reside in a folder at your webserver.
So, instead of having a long and ugly referral link like the one here:
http://www.mycontactstation.com/promo/?taf=1&e=leon.horton@gmail.com
Your new link will look something like this if you store the new little webpage in the folder named “Likes” at your webserver. (You could use any name you choose like “presents” or “recommends” or “uses” or whatever you want to use.) The following is an example.
http://www.yourdomain.com/Likes/the name of the file.html
Here’s one that works…
http://www.leonsweb.info/Likes/MCS.html
Notice that the referral link is not there. Thieves cannot take my referral nor the commission from the sale unless they go to the trouble to hack into my web space and get it that way. That may prove to be too much trouble, but I don’t suppose every thief can be stopped all of the time. However, this should reduce a lot of the loss in your efforts to earn money online with affiliate sales.
So, just plug in your information in the html template below and you will have a little webpage directing people to your affiliate site.
Note: In order for you to see the coding, I have placed a space in all of the tags. The first tag looks like this Be sure to remove the spaces before you save it or it will not work!
Now, just save the file as an HTML file (with the .html or .htm extension… remember to remove the leading spaces now before saving the file) and upload it to the file folder at your webspace. Of course you will need to test the link by typing in the new link in your browser address bar after uploading it.

Hi Joey
What you need is the seven dollar secret script. Its that which enables your affiliates to put their paypal email on the end of your link…
It costs seven dollars and you can get it here:

Good luck
